Akhil Punnoose, Manager of Grid Modernization at Eversource, is responsible for leading an engineering team in the planning and deployment of nascent technologies including VVO, DERMS, and Dynamic DER Dispatching at Eversource, where he joined the Grid Modernization group in 2018. Prior to that, he was primarily responsible for the Protection and Control of T&D assets through progressive engineering roles at Eversource and National Grid. Akhil has a B.S. and M.S. in electrical engineering from UMass Amherst and Worcester Polytechnic Institute, respectively. He has over fourteen years' of experience in the electric industry and is a licensed Professional Engineer (NH).
