Craig Befus is a licensed professional engineer in the province of BC. He has worked on both the utility side and manufacturing side at various times of his career, which has helped him to develop a deep understanding of diverse utility requirements, product development, and manufacturing capabilities that have evolved in the North American utility market. At Eaton, he is responsible for driving sales of electrical equipment, automation and digital solutions, engineering services, EV charging infrastructure, battery energy storage solutions, and cybersecurity services. Craig has participated in standards development for CSA, IEEE, and IEC where he has also served in technical committee leadership roles. Since 2001, Craig has served on the Advisory Committee for the highly acclaimed DistribuTECH Conference. Craig holds both BSEE and MSEE degrees from the University of Colorado, where his graduate studies focused on power system engineering.
